Product usage for the following joint dimensions:
Joint section in mm

290ml Cartridge 8.1m 4.5m 2.4m 1.45m 0.64m
Surface Preparation The substrates must be dry, clean, sound, and free from grease or frost.
degrease with Geocel Surface Cleaner
allow enough time to allow full evaporation of the solvent
- the minimum joint width should be 6mm
- for joint between 6 and 12mm wide, seal a depth of
6mm is required
- for joint above 12mm wide, a width to depth ratio of 2:1
should be used
- in situations where fillet joints are needed, a minimum
of 6mm sealant bite to each substrate is recommended
- Care should be taken to ensure that the slot is formed
to the required depth and any expansion joint filler
tightly packed. A tight backer rod or bond breaker
should be inserted at the base of the slot to ensure that
the sealant only bonds to the joint sides
Priming
Pro 592 exhibits good primerless adhesion to most commonconstruction substrates.
However, due to the natural variability of porous materials, such
as concrete and natural stone, in order to confirm optimum
adhesion; we recommend carrying out an adhesion test prior to
commencement of any project. Please refer to Geocel Technical
Service for specific advice
Masking Where necessary, the joint edges can be masked with tape to
prevent contamination of adjacent substrates and ensure a neat
sealant line.
The tape should be carefully removed immediately after tooling
Condition of Application
Application temperature: from +5 °C to +40°C.Finishing The joint should be tooled within five minutes of application to
ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate.
Tooling of the sealant also gives a smooth, professional finish
Cleaning Clean tools with Alcohol based solvents or Geocel
Universal Wipes. Once cured, the sealant can be removed
mechanically
Limitations Not suitable for surfaces that bleed oils or plasticizers. Ensure
the sealant is compatible with the substrates to which it is being
applied
Pro 592 is not compatible with Silicone products.
Health and Safety
Avoid skin and eye contact.
Keep away from children
Wash hands after use
